Hardware Meets Handcrafted: Lambda’s Packaging for Razer’s Tech

Previously known as Lambda Labs, Lambda is a leading provider of computer programming services. The company specializes in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of deep learning workstations, servers, laptops, and GPU cloud services. Following Lambda’s partnership with the multimillion-dollar enterprise Razer, our Fremont team was engaged to support all aspects of their packaging needs.

The Challenge

Razer is renowned within the technology industry for its premium gaming products. The challenge presented to our team was to develop packaging that adhered to Razer’s stringent brand standards. Our task was to ensure that the packaging met Razer’s high-quality requirements by utilizing a four-millimeter rigid shipping material. This approach was essential to provide a robust tactile experience and to sufficiently protect the delicate products contained within.

The Solution

Over a six-month design period, with support from the client’s design center in Australia, the Fremont team successfully developed a high-quality packaging solution. Lambda opted for a distinctive vibrant purple that would be consistent throughout all packaging, diverging from the lime green predominantly used in Razer’s branding. For the interior of the packaging, molded pulp was selected to emphasize sustainability. The dry-pressed molded pulp was designed to securely house the computer within the box. Given the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, establishing a meticulous shipment process was essential. To ensure packaging integrity, all items were first sent to our Fremont office before being forwarded to San Francisco for finalization.

This collaboration provided valuable exposure for Lambda by aligning with Razer, a globally recognized leader in high-end gaming. Our team’s ability to deliver efficient packaging solutions within tight timelines, while meeting Razer’s brand standards, demonstrates our commitment to quality and strengthens our reputation as a dependable solutions provider.
