When Edgeworks manufacturing sought an extraordinary packaging solution for their limited-edition Raider Knives set, Stephen Gould stepped up to the challenge. The Challange

Edgeworks manufacturing needed a packaging solution that could securely house a set of premium knives while reflecting the brand’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. The packaging had to be visually striking, functional, and suitable for a high-value, limited-edition product.

The Solution

Christopher J. Van Meter from Stephen Gould’s Morrisville, North Carolina office led the effort, working in close collaboration with designer Nick Kelleher. Starting with concepts developed through advanced structural and graphic techniques, the team delivered a custom double-door presentation box. The final product incorporated corrugated materials for durability, foam inserts for secure placement and carefully arranged print elements to enhance visual appeal.

The process began with open communication: Edgeworks shared their overarching vision, and Stephen Gould responded with four detailed concepts. From these options, the client chose the bold double-door design, which struck the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality.

The Result

The Raider Knives Double Door Box was designed to present the knives in a way that elevated their perceived value. This collaboration led to a production run of 2,000 units, creating a memorable and impactful unboxing experience for the end customer.
