The Challenge

SunMed Growers needed a source for packaging that was both sustainable and functional. However, the cannabis industry’s heavy reliance on non-sustainable plastic packaging was at odds with SunMed Growers’s brand ethos and the environmental expectations of their consumers. With a lack of available packaging options to meet all necessary criteria — environmental friendliness, child resistance, cost-effectiveness, and operational feasibility — SunMed Growers needed a solution that would not only align with their sustainability goals but also maintain the quality and security standards essential for cannabis products.

The Solution

Burak Dalcik and Evan Churchville stepped in to create a custom solution tailored to SunMed Growers’s unique needs. Leveraging our extensive industry experience and innovative capabilities, we developed fully compostable packaging made from materials such as wood pulp, bamboo, and rice husk. These materials were chosen for their environmental benefits and suitability for the specific demands of cannabis packaging, including child-resistant features.
